Contacted several contractors through EnergySage when looking to replace or expand my existing solar system due to needing my roof replaced. The existing system was 17 years old and paid for itself a long time ago, back when the SREC credits were a LOT higher! Most did not know what to do with a house that needed solar removed and replaced. The friendly crew at PowerStream gave me a credit for the panels and inverters of my existing system, which still worked–solar output was only ~15% de-rated from new. They planned to re-use the old panels for smaller off-grid installs with the local Amish population. They worked with the roofer to remove everything before the roof work began and replaced it with a much larger 12.4kW system at a lower cost per watt than Tesla or any other competitors. There were some delays during startup due to some back and forth with the Electrical Inspector and PECO, but it was resolved before too long. System has been running for several months and the PECO bill now hovers around zero. Our house is 100% Electric including a geothermal heat pump, so we have created a virtually “net-zero” house with the help of PowerStream. Very pleased overall, would recommend them to anyone considering Solar.

I did a ground mount system and during excavation they ran into serious rocks. They got the job done and did not come back to me with a change order even though I know the rocks costs them extra time and money. The team was really professional and kept me in the loop during the installation process.

I did not use them because I already was in contract with another company, at a cost that was way too high. They helped provide information I needed to get my contract changed with the other company and saved me $11K dollars. They didn’t need to do this, but they did. Sumintra installed a solar system for a prior owner of a house that I bought. The inverter broke, and the Sumintra team (who I had not met before) was at the house the next day. They spent hours here, realized the inverter was still under warranty, convinced a (skeptical) manufacturer of the case, and within a week I had (1) a new inverter delivered and (2) installed. These guys are pros, and old-school. They get that a happy client is a client for life. Can’t recommend highly enough.
