I’ve worked with a ton of electrical and construction contractors over the years, and I have learned to have fairly low expectations for how they behave. In contrast, I really appreciated the spirit of professionalism the Blossom team showed!

For example: I noticed one of the crew members was a smoker, but they were taking care not to smoke or leave butts on our property. No one asked to use our bathroom. We were prepared for that and it would have been fine, but I’m sure it can put people in an awkward position if that wasn’t the case, and we didn’t have to deal with it. They cleaned up after themselves. I didn’t overhear any of the usual racist/sexist/homophobic talk that I’m used to hearing on job sites. When the master breaker for the house was accidentally switched off (there’s a design fault with the housing), no one got defensive about it. When things came up and people had to leave to help out other teams or were left shorthanded, there was no griping, they just got on with their work.
