I really appreciated the work ethic and speed of this company. I had an 8.5 KwH system put in. The team that put the system together were very prompt and thorough. The job also consisted of a panel upgrade, and they were able to do the teardown of the old panel and the patchup well. They also assisted with some permitting issues that came up because the city didn’t want to approve the installation for unrelated items. When those items were addressed, the city attempted to find additional work to be done.. but Sunny and his team went to the bat for me and we were able to get it approved.

John and the team at GoldCoast Solar were simply fantastic. Not only did they have the lowest price quote, I was BLOWN AWAY by the incredible follow-up and experience working with them. John worked with me to assess the available panel space on my spanish clay tile roof and select higher output Solaria panels to get the highest possible production. As part of the quote, they threw in a Tesla charger on the house which was something I was going to do anyway and they were super accommodating – “sure, no problem we can do that”! Post install I called them twice – once almost a year later to fix the Tesla charger housing and some other nitpicks from LA Country for the charger permit, second about 3 years after service, my SolarEdge inverter crapped out. I’ve heard many horror stories of dealing with this situation as many installers are no longer around and/or unwilling to stand by their service and to process warranties. Gold Coast solar was out within 24 hours of getting notified and processed and installed the replacement on warranty. Really happy with Gold Coast Solar and a very positive experience. Stand up guys who show up on time, do a great job, and walk through any questions/issues you have.

Never ever in my life I’ve seen a company that’s as responsive as this one. My mind is literally blown. My project manager was Maria, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for all her help along the way. She always responded to my emails and texts within minutes, at most within an hour or so. I selected SolarUnion after an exhaustive review of about a dozen competitors — I was most interested in customer reviews and track record of completing the job. I’ve been burned before by selecting the low bid only to discover that you get what you pay for … namely, the low bidder will start adding things that are “out of scope”. SolarUnion bid a price for the work and came in at that price — no excuses for things they may have missed in the bidding process, no increases in costs for things that were left out of the original proposal. I found them to be responsive, attentive. I had two challenges with them that were overcome: (1) their primary on-site guy got sick so my job was delayed by two weeks (a few days for his health + 1 1/2 weeks to get my job re-scheduled). I felt they could have moved someone else … they claimed they put my job in ASAP. (2) I sometimes had to follow-up with status from them (which they were fast to respond) instead of them reaching out to tell me. Some of it was in my favor e.g. SolarUnion showed up on property to meet the City inspector and then I got an email (later that morning) that there would be a City inspection. Certainly not a problem. Other times, e.g. when the job was postponed, I followed up with S-U to find out what happened. HOWEVER, I’d give them 5 stars for everything that mattered — pricing, quality of work, speed of work once on-site and follow-through to make sure we’re connected to the grid. And they were always nice and responsive. I’ve already recommended them to two other friends.
